* The reduced rate applies to the following persons:
- Senior citizens aged 65 and over
- Holders of the Familienland*Pass and the Upper Austrian Family Card
- Passengers with a disability of 70% or more (noted in their disability pass)
- Group discount for 20 or more people (every 21st person free)
- School group discount for 20 or more people (up to 2 accompanying adults free per 20 schoolchildren)
- Severe war disability card
- Non-standard fare concessions (ATF)
- Holders of a KlimaTicket *)
Further discounts:
- Children under 6 free / 2 per accompanying person
- Disabled person's accompanying person free of charge if noted in the disability pass
- Assistance dogs free of charge if noted in the disability pass
Bicycle transport is free of charge on the Wachau Railway.
Seat reservations and the mandatory reservation of bicycle spaces are also free of charge.
- Special fares from Niederösterreich Bahnen apply on trains.
- ÖBB discount offers (e.g. VorteilsCard, Österreich Card, Einfach-Raus-Ticket, etc.) are not valid.
- *) No free travel with the KlimaTicket
- Tickets from transport associations (e.g. bus tickets or season tickets) are not accepted.
- The VOR fares apply on the regular bus service (line 721) from Emmersdorf to Melk.
Lower Austria CARD
The NÖ-CARD entitles its holder to use the Wachau Railway free of charge for any number of journeys on one day per year (day ticket).
