State Gallery of Lower Austria

Description

The Landesgalerie Niederösterreich is a new, dynamic exhibition venue for Austrian art. It combines the holdings of the Provincial Collections of Lower Austria with important private collections and responds to contemporary issues with themed and personal exhibitions. The reality of people's lives is at the heart of the program, which encompasses all genres of art and brings the old into dialogue with the new.

Exciting exhibitions are presented on five presentation levels and 3,000 m2 of exhibition space. The Landesgalerie Niederösterreich will become the center of the Krems Art Mile, which, with its exhibition venues Forum Frohner, Kunsthalle Krems and Karikaturmuseum Krems, stretches from Minoritenplatz in Stein via Franz-Zeller-Platz (now Museumsplatz) to the Dominikanerkirche in Krems.
